Giving something back

Sunraysia are proud to support a number of leading charities - for every purchase of Pure Squeezed Prune Juice, 100% Prune Juice, Pure Squeezed Tomato Juice and Pure Squeezed Beetroot & Evesse Apple Juice, we give a monetary donation to Core, Prostate Action and the Blood Pressure Association to help support them in their research.

Core

Diseases of the digestive system affect around one in ten of the UK population and, correspondingly, account for about 10% of the workload of general practitioners and hospitals. Core is the name of the UK's major gastrointestinal research and patient information charity, previously called the Digestive Disorders Foundation. Core's mission is to raise and distribute money to fund research across the whole spectrum of gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and across the range of research methods, from basic science to health services research, and to provide support for patients with GI problems through the provision of tailored information, advice and contacts.

Visit the Core website for a list of patient information leaflets that Core makes available to patients, carers, hospital departments and general practices. These leaflets, which can easily be downloaded free of charge, range from descriptions of common GI symptoms and their management, through helpful information about specific disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome, to more technical information about medical and surgical treatments, endoscopy and cancer care.

Prostate Action

One in two men will suffer from a prostate disease at some stage in their lives, and prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK. Prostate Action seeks to limit the damage this causes by training healthcare professionals, funding research, encouraging international collaboration and providing information.

Aims
Prostate Action has three main aims, the first to educate and train healthcare professionals in all prostate problems, so they can be caught and treated early; the second to promote independent worldwide research into all aspects of prostate disease; and the third to spread the crucial knowledge gathered from that research as far afield as possible, an internationally recognised Forum, attended by the world's top prostate experts.

Visit the Prostate Action website for more information.
